Amnesty International - 17-25 New Inn Yard, London, UK

Online Sale Ended

Description

Amos Day will have a new look and a new venue for 2018. This year we'll be at the Amnesty International Centre at 17–25 New Inn Road, London EC2A 3EA. Join us as we share some of what we've been working on in 2018 and some of what we have planned for 2019 and beyond.

New speakers confirmed:
Dr Swee Ang
will be joining us to talk through her experiences on the Freedom Flotilla as it sought to take medical supplies into Gaza. Swee is an Orthopedic Surgeon, author and founder of Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP).

Hamed Qawasmeh from Hebron International Relief is in the UK for a short tour and is able to join us over lunch to give an update from the South Hebron Hills before going off to complete the O2 challenge.

In the morning we will focus on the inspirational women behind our new campaign – On Her Terms, which aims to transform the lives of girls and young women on the streets by challenging the injustices they face and journeying with them as they reshape their lives.

The afternoon also features Rifka Barnard from War on Want, Phoebe Rison from Sabeel-Kairos, writer and blogger Robert Cohen, and Amos Founder Garth Hewitt discussing Apartheid @70
